Airport Assistance Services

At King Khalid International Airport, we at AirportAssist.com deliver tailored services to make your passage smooth. Here’s how:

Fast Track Assistance

At the points of immigration and security, we provide priority lanes where they exist so that the queues are reduced in case it is at peak seasons and when the terminals are busy with arrival banks.

Meet and Greet

Our trained staff will meet passengers at the curb or gate where terminals permit them to help with the check-in and escort travellers to passport control and lounge or boarding transport.

Lounge Access

Airport Assist books and controls access to RUH lounges, including Alfursan Lounges at Saudia and commercial lounges, which can be accessed through partners (Primeclass / Plaza Premium, where applicable), depending on terminal and eligibility.

VIP Assistance

In the case of VIP travellers, we arrange special curbside services, personal check-in where possible, priority coordination of immigration and individual baggage handling in order to save time at the terminal.

Family & Special Needs

We offer wheelchair and mobility services, priority lane services and family escort using security and immigration to offer safe and efficient transfers to elderly passengers, families with young children, and passengers with reduced mobility.

Baggage & Porter Help

We offer a service to collect and deliver bag(s) curbside, courier check-in delivery, and baggage pick-up at arrivals to be further delivered, coordinated with terminal procedures.

Transit Assistance

Between terminals at RUH, Airport Assist tracks flight schedule, makes necessary re-checks and directs passengers between terminals (including instructions on internal transfers and transport connections).

Layover & Connection Tips

All tips below are factual and reference official/authoritative sources where appropriate.

  • Confirm your terminal before travel. RUH has several terminals (T1–T5); ensure that your airline or the RUH website does not subject you to terminal-change delays.
  • Allow sufficient connection time. For international transfers, allow at least 2–2.5 hours to get through immigration/security and between terminals if required.
  • Use Fast Track or Meet & Greet at peak times. Evening and morning arrival banks can extend queues; pre-booked fast-track services expedite passport control.
  • Book lounge access in advance. Alfursan and commercial lounges are available in the international terminals; advance booking helps avoid disappointment during peak hours.
  • Check visa & transit rules before you travel. Refer to official guidance from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Confirm eligibility for transit visas or visa-on-arrival where applicable.
  • Transit/rest hotel options. Airside short-stay rooms and showers are available via Aerotel (airport transit hotel), charged per hour and subject to passenger eligibility.
  • Connectivity. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport; local mobile operators offer SIM cards and top-ups at arrival and retail kiosks.
  • Baggage handling on separate tickets. When travelling on separate tickets, ensure baggage check-through arrangements are clear. Airport Assist can help with checking and re-checking bags as per airport regulations.
  • Use Riyadh Metro for predictable transit times. Airport Metro stations provide quick access between terminals and into the city (Line/Station maps available via Riyadh Metro information sources).
  • Arrivals duty-free now available. Riyadh has introduced new duty-free stores (Terminals 3 & 4), reducing the need to wait until departure for certain purchases.
